Design Studio 2 - Project 1

For our Design Studio module, our first project was a precedent study of a Modern Master. We decided to choose, from the list, Tadao Ando. Tadao Ando had designed several other buildings such as the Kidosaki House and the Church of Light. We were analyzing his Azuma House.

We were told to make a full set of Architectural Drawings and Diagram Models based on design concepts. I had made the models for symmetry and organiztion.

This project has introduced me to a whole new world of architecture I was not too familiar with. It has also brought in me, an understanding for these modern masters. Not only in terms of their design, but their philosophies as well.
